Product Development Specialist

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

Supports Product Manager in the collaboration between Product, Sourcing and Design groups to execute successful programs or categories based on merchant voids/vision and ensures quality and trend right product is shipped in a timely manner.  Develops strong working relationships with Agents, Vendors, and other inter-departmental associates.    

Responsibilities:

• Ensures styling standards for quality and design of branded and private label product categories are clearly communicated and understood by Agents/Vendors.  
• Develops strong relationships with overseas agents, vendors, and product team.
• Coordinates the development process according to time and action deadlines and facilitates problem resolution in a timely manner.
• Analyzes weekly sales reports to determine consumer trends and helps manager strategically plan future assortments based on the results.
• Develops an understanding of how to create achievable programs with the help of management and team.
• Reviews all submits received from vendors for compliance to standards. Recommends methods to improve the product construction and quality. Communicates technically achievable direction to the vendors on fabric quality, color correction on lab dips, print strike offs, components, and samples.
• Collaborates and consults with Product Manager and members of Sourcing, Technical Design and Design teams for functional guidance, as necessary.
• Assists in monitoring delivery and production flow according to the Time & Action deadlines. Monitors WIP reports with Product Development team, Agents, and Vendors to ensure on time delivery for all programs.
• Performs special projects as directed.

Who We Are Looking For: You.

• 1+ plus years’ experience in Product Development or Product Management
• Degree in Business, Merchandising or equivalent work experience.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  Strong analytical skills; able to study and manipulate data within a spreadsheet.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-PowerPoint, Word Outlook, PLM and Adobe Creative Suite
• Effective communication skills
• Works well in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and follow through skills, detail oriented.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This position has a starting salary range of $66,500 to $83,1000 per year
