Responsibility from the start
 

As a graduate your journey will begin at our European head office in Watford, UK in the Merchandising team, where you’ll learn about our business fully and begin to drive results in an entrepreneurial way from day one.

This will begin with a comprehensive induction and training plan, including both classroom and practical workshops for you to understand how fundamental the partnership between Merchandising and Buying is in delivering value to our customers online and in store.

Your first role will be as an Allocation Analyst and your development within Merchandising will be varied and often self-driven. You will be responsible for creating the best mix of products, and shipping them to our stores, working closely with the Buyers on what they bought. We are seeking candidates who thrive on interpreting data and enjoy putting their strong analytical skills to use. You will be analysing trends and building your commercial skills by also spending time in both our stores and in the competition.

Your typical day to day will differ, however your role with generally involve managing the distribution of products to our stores for your department – this could range from anything to Men’s T Shirts to Bathroom Accessories! This will include tasks such as analysing sales trends, inventory levels and demand forecasts to determine how much of each product should be allocated to different stores. You’ll collaborate with various teams including your Merchandising & Buying teams to ensure products are distributed effectively. Overall, theory focuses on optimising product distribution whilst tracking performance to inform decision-making.

Required

 

Fluency in English is required, and it is desirable, but not essential, to be fluent in another EU language (German, Italian, French, Dutch, Spanish, or Polish). This supports us in diversifying the Merchandising population to reflect our TJX Europe customer base and to fulfil internal expansion plans.
 

Cultural familiarity (for example, experience living abroad) is also desirable, but not essential.
